Yes, Georgia is known for its peaches, but the fruit isn’t the only sweet characteristic of the state. As beauty aficionados, we’re particularly charmed by the pampering options offered by the capital city of Atlanta. If you vie to find great signature massages, love a good mani/pedi, or get excited when there’s a ingredient-focused menu, rest assured, Atlanta’s incredible spas have it all.

Maybe you’re in town for business meetings, vacation, or (lucky!) you live in the area. No matter what brings you to Atlanta, consider spending your spare time luxuriating and winding down at one of the city’s spas. These six must-visit destinations will satisfy your needs with tranquil and refreshing options.

1 Courtesy of Four Seasons Hotel® Atlanta

Four Seasons Hotel® Atlanta

The spa: Four Seasons Hotel® Atlanta

The location: Atlanta, GA

Why it’s a must-visit: Celebrities are constantly checking in to this hotel, and if they’re looking for even more R&R, they can find treatments ranging from hand and foot treatments to facials and massages at the spa. It even has seasonal treatments, such as the Sunflower Seed Scrub Body TreatmentTM ($170 to $180), which entails sunflower seed oil, a ground sunflower seed, a sea salt scrub, and a massage with body bliss shea butter.

Regular menu offerings include The Georgian PeachTM ($585), which includes a massage, a lifting oxygen facial, and a hot stone pedicure, plus lunch! Another treatment, Piedmont Park PolishTM ($165 to $175), named after the city’s famous outdoor space, is a a full-body treatment with exfoliating citrus and alfalfa root body scrub. If you’re feeling a little on the thrifty side, there are happy hour specials! Choose from two 25-minute, exclusive treatments (options ranging from stretching therapy to a de-stress massage) while you sip a glass of Prosecco. You’ll only pay $115 to $125 to receive both services while, individually, they could cost up to $100.

Château Élan Winery & Resort

The spa: Château Élan Winery & Resort®

The location: Braselton, GA, about an hour and 20 min. drive from Atlanta

Why it’s a must-visit: It’s no surprise the skincare and body wellness treatments at this suburban spa use wine-based products. After all, it’s located at a full-service winery and hotel. Wine tours are complimentary for inn, suite, and villa guests, or $5 per person to the general public. Or do something more intimate by visiting the Tasting RoomTM during weekdays (with the exception of Mondays) as well as weekends.

Before or after a glass of vino, guests can visit the property’s European-style spa for more opportunities to wind down. The Chateau Winery RitualTM ($260 to $280) involves a wine bath, a crushed grapeseed scrub to leave skin silky and and a De-VineTM Mud Wrap to purify the body. The De-Vine Mud Body Wrap ($155 to $175) can also be experienced on its own. This treatment consists of a crushed grape seed and French clay mask applied all over your body: the result is skin that’s detoxified (from the clay) and richly moisturized (from the vitamin C and E-rich grapeseed oil). During The Chateau Winery Harvest CrushTM body treatment ($110 to $155), an expertly-trained therapist scrubs away dead skin while leaving grapeseed oil behind to moisturize and inspire a healthy glow.

3 Courtesy of Bliss Spa

Bliss Spa

The spa: Bliss® Spa at W Hotel® Midtown and Bliss Spa at W Hotel Downtown

The location: Atlanta, GA

Why it’s a must-visit: The iconic chain offers its signature pampering treatments at two locations in the city: Midtown and Downtown. If you work in the area (or simply tend to be more of a night owl), you’ll benefit from the Midtown destination’s extended hours – it’s open until 9 p.m. from Monday through Saturday, with a closing time of 7 p.m. on Sundays.

Should you need a no-fail mani or pedi after a day at the office, the spas have Essie® nail polish, as well as CND Shellac® for hands and toes ($30 to $75). For those visiting town for business or pleasure, try the Ginger RubTM. A massage therapist applies a blend of freshly grated ginger with warm essential oils, then cocoons you in a cozy, heated foil wrap. After the ginger and heat permeate into your skin for 20 minutes, it’s removed and the service continues with a full-body 60-minute massage to get to the root of your tension ($235).

4 Courtesy of The Ritz-Carlton, Reynolds Lake Oconee

The Ritz-Carlton®, Reynolds Lake Oconee®

The spa: The Ritz-Carlton®, Reynolds Lake Oconee®

The location: Greensboro, GA, about an hour and 20 min. drive from Atlanta

Why it’s a must-visit: This lodge-like space (with windows overlooking Lake Oconee) features native Georgian ingredients on its spa menu. A featured treatment is The GeorgianTM($260), which combines red clay with the antioxidant properties of sweet tea and magnolia for a soothing, full-body exfoliation, wrap, and scalp massage. Because the property has five golf courses, The Golf MassageTM ($175 to $240) is suited for those who can pull themselves off the green. The treatment is exactly what it sounds like: a masseuse uses a warm golf ball to target muscles. With kneading techniques, the ball penetrates and relaxes deep knots.

5 Courtesy of Intown Salt Room

Intown Salt Room

The spa: Intown Salt RoomTM

The location: Grant Park, GA

Why it’s a must-visit: Salt rooms have become trendy recently – and for good reason. Salt is naturally antibacterial and antifungal, and the benefits these popular venues boast include the ability to alleviate anxiety, fatigue, stress, and even snoring. When you inhale, the salt absorbs allergens and toxins. Simultaneously, minerals like calcium, iodine, copper (among others) are absorbed by the skin.

Within this 1,000 square foot space, among 6,000 pounds of Himalayan salt, you can experience 30-minute sessions consisting of dry salt therapy (halotherapy) and meditation with sound therapy ($40 to $180). Another relaxing element? There’s no need to dress up for your salty outing. Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing in the 68- to 72-degree room.

Don’t expect to find facials, massages or any other services. This salt room, like many others like it, is dedicated to the healing properties of salt – without the frills.

6 Courtesy of Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts

Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts

The spa: Waldorf Astoria® Spa Atlanta

The location: Buckhead, GA

Why it’s a must-visit: This upscale spa – with vitality pools, dry saunas, steam rooms and a 60-foot saline lap pool – radiates southern charm with personalized treatments inspired by the city itself. Pamper yourself with signature menu offerings, like Southern Comfort ($275 to $310), an intensive moisturizing treatment with full body exfoliation and a nourishing body wrap. The Peach Indulgence ($275 to $310) involves a skin-softening exfoliating and comforting massage using warm peach oil that ends with a hair and scalp massage.

If you’re jetlagged, try the Sleep Remedy service ($275 to $310), which utilizes a blend of essential oils applied head-to-toe, meanwhile, massage techniques help calm an overactive mind. We recommend bringing your S.O. to the extremely luxurious three-hour Magnolia Retreat ($1,300 to $1,410), during which you can relax together in an aromatic bath. After, you’ll be pampered with aromatherapy massages and customized facials.
